HR Manager: People and Culture Development 

We are looking for a HR Manager to join our senior management team on a permanent basis in this exciting new role. As well as leading our HR function, this role is responsible for helping lead our continued cultural transformation as we emerge from the Covid-19 lockdown and begin to develop and deliver our ambitious growth plans. 

Operating in a generalist capacity you will work closely with the Operational Team and site Managers to provide support when required.  You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in driving continuous improvement through a range of HR-related projects and initiatives.

Day to day responsibilities will include: 
  • Advising, guiding and supporting line managers in ER issues  
  • Maintaining internal HR, and T & A systems 
  • Ensuring appropriate policies and procedures and legal requirements are adhered to  
  • Managing the recruitment processes and on-boarding programs 
  • Supporting and encouraging managers with probation reviews, appraisal processes, performance management and all aspects of the employment life-cycle 
  • Supporting all aspects of absence management 
  • Arranging and advising during Disciplinary and Grievance hearings, and handling all associated correspondence 
  • Effectively managing exit processes and off-boarding  
  • Co-ordinating Training & Development processes across the business 
  • Providing general administration and support services where required 

Qualifications and skills: 
  • Part/full CIPD qualified 
  • Experience as a people/culture/HR lead is essential 
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment legislation 
  • Strong communicator who can engage with key stakeholders and form successful working relationships 
  • Experience running and growing successful multi-disciplined teams 
  • Ability to plan time effectively and work with conflicting priorities 
  • Flexible and positive attitude to work, with the desire and passion to continuously improve process 
  • Collaborative mindset to work with a broad range of stakeholders 
  • Experience defining and communicating the benefits and return on investment of culture, internally and externally 
  • An ability to influence and inspire change 
  • A naturally collaborative and curious mind, that strives to help others and the team to deliver amazing results 
  • Proficient user of MS Office and HR systems
