We formulate plastic compounds in a wide range of polymer types and colours from prime or recycled plastic feedstocks and can include fillers and product performance enhancers.
Commodity and engineering grade polymers are developed and manufactured on site including PE, PP, PA and alloys such as PC/ABS, glass filled PA and PP for technically advanced applications in the automotive and electronics sectors.
State-of-the-art, computer controlled, loss in weight feed systems, coupled with advanced twin screw extrusion equipment and underwater die face pelletising technology give us the control to mix a variety of feedstocks, additives, pigments, fillers and stabilisers to produce materials with pellet geometry to meet agreed customer specifications. During processing our technical centre monitors and continually tests output to ensure optimum product quality and consistency.
Each delivery of compound is accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity and, if required, a Certificate of Analysis for each batch detailing parameters which are critical to customers (this is a chargeable service).
These parameters can include test results for
Melt Flow Index (MFI), Izod Impact, Falling Dart (FDI), Heat Distortion Temperature (HDT), Vicat Softening Temperature and a range of Tensile Tests.
