Luxus has exhibited at the North East Automotive Expo for a first time, as we look to enhance our position as a compound producer of choice for the industry.
As a technical polymer producer, we joined more than 100 businesses in the supply chain, putting innovation in front of almost 800 delegates.
Described as a gateway to the region’s automotive excellence, the event – hosted by the North East Automotive Alliance – attracts an array of manufacturers, with many involved in dedicated metals, plastics and specific component production.
We put a strong emphasis on our work to support increasing the use of recycled polymers in new vehicles, with legislation emerging, as well as our strong catalogue of solutions for lightweighting, impact mitigation, heat and ultraviolet protection.
Dane McWilliams, sales account manager, and Attila Geczi, business development manager, hit the road for the exhibition at Sunderland’s Beacon of Light, a dedicated event space beside the city’s Stadium of Light.

They connected with both new and existing customers, with conversations focused on how the industry is evolving and how Luxus can support businesses in meeting the latest ELV requirements.
Dane said: “It was very productive. We had some good conversations, with the main talking points around the impact of cyber-attacks on the likes of Jaguar Land Rover and the supply chain, and the upcoming End-of-Live Vehicles Regulations.
“It was aimed at supporting production in the North East, and we’re now following up with plastic moulders, having made some good introductions and met with others we were familiar with.”
