Novel colouring technology has been introduced to an award-winning polymer to produce a new masterbatch specifically designed to enhance recycled content levels in the construction industry

Colour Tone Masterbatch has introduced a new Vynacol Jet Black PVC Masterbatch, fusing innovation with a trusted product to help reduce reliance on virgin plastics.

Its relative strength and superior compatibility make it ideal for highly filled or recycled PVC compounds, negating the need for unwanted plasticisers or alien ingredients.

Decking, construction extrusions, pipe and rainwater goods markets are being targeted by the South Wales company, part of Lincolnshire-headquartered Luxus Ltd.

Nathan Griffin, General Manager at Colour Tone, said: “Vynacol Jet Black 96149 is a fusion of a novel black colouring technology with Vynacol, the patented award-winning, polymer-specific masterbatch for PVCu. With a strong jet-black colour and good coverage at a competitive cost, this is a significant addition to the Vynacol range.

“It brings a range of fundamental benefits, offering a highly economic colouring solution while maintaining the compound’s physical properties, including Izod and Charpy impact strength, with no change to its heat deflection temperature.”
